Well gettng the teeth pulled and creating a healthy environment in your mouth is always a good decision. Toothpaste is fine to use some of the overnight soaks are causing people issues so he is giving you good advice. Focus today on how nice you will look when you leave tomorrow.

Five years ago I had all my teeth removed and currently use the overnight cleaning tablets and have had no problem with them.It takes a little while to get used to the feeling of the dentures but it is not that bad.One piece of advise I will give is that when you sneeze be sure to either cover your mouth with your hand(palm toward your mouth) and as I do,close your teeth together so that the force of the air does not loosen your dentures as it will travel along the roof of mouth and could separate the denture from the roof of your mouth even when using a paste to "glue" them in.I also keep a few Super Poligrip comfort seal stips at work and in my wallet in case the dentures lose their hold during the day.

I've had this done and it's not so bad. You will have some pain and discomfort, mostly from the swelling and pressure soreness from where the surgeon holds your jaw in place in order to extract your teeth. So, take the pain killers they give you. That will allow you to resist ripping the denture from your mouth after the novocaine wears off! Have lots of liquid and/or mushy foods to eat, because you won't be able to really chew for a few days at least. Soups are good, and "baby" cereals like farina (or grits) and pastina (little pasta stars). Jellos and puddings are good comfort foods :)

    Good luck!
