People can think and feel whatever they want.
However, a group does NOT have the right to impose their views on all citizens. There's a little document called The Constitution that prohibits that.
If you think, for example, that smoking is immoral, then don't smoke. Just don't try to control what everyone else does.

The belief:
There are no absolute standards; values are relative.
Leads society to believe all cultures are equal. The belief that we can live in all different manners and it will lead to the same or better goals. Untrue. Religion instills a belief in the absolute. As person that was an Atheist, I ensure you that there is no morality to truly live by, if there is no G_d. It's what the next person can do and get away with...nothing more. In such a world, the consequences are horrible.
Granted you can be any religion or lack there of and still be 'moral'. But without an absolute belief in good and evil...and better or worse....there is no room for relativists in society.
