Why can I not answer more questions?! I just wanted to help people.. and procrastinate...?

I've been a member for over 5 years, and after many, many months I got back to this website and decided to spend an evening answering people's questions out of the goodness of my heart--also out of my aversion to doing work, but that's another matter.

Anyway, the one night I decide to be altruistic and give back to the world that has done so much for me, honestly helping people who are places I have been before, this website is suddenly like "lulz sorry bro, you can't answer more questions because you haven't answered more in the past!! trolololo"

So now I can't help others, I can't feel good about myself for helping others, and I can't even use this website to procrastinate on studying for my test tomorrow.

Well you know what? Up yours too, Yahoo. :(

Update:

Badhabyt, you seem to have a bad habit of not reading peoples' questions. I know that I have to be "level 5" (if you read my question, you'd realize that), I just think it's stupid how it's purely based on the number of questions you've answered in the past, as opposed to the quality. I wanted to help lots of people tonight, but Yahoo was all like "lolno you haven't answered enough so you can't answer more!"

Whereas someone with 2500 entirely useless answers would be able to do this. I feel like just another data block, not a real person. And it upsets me greatly.

After such a long time on the site then you shouldn't be surprised that there are actually rules or a points & levels system here. So now you think all of a sudden they should grant you an exemption to the answering limits because they should recognize the quality of your answers in the past? .

The points & levels system is about recognition, you can get points merely by answering that is true, but to gain points rapidly many of those answers need to be awarded Best Answer by the askers or the community.

It's pretty simple really. if you want the unlimited answers, then get to Level 5.

You are at Level4, so you can answer 80 questions per Yahoo day. Get to Level 5 and you can answer an unlimited number.
