Does any one know why I am having this problem with my desk top?
When I type it misses odd letters and spaces. I bought a new key board but the same thing is happening especially on emails....does any one know what is causing this? thank you

nope - it requires some troubleshooting.
first possibility - the kbd driver. - it might also be another drivier interfering.
replace the kbd driver
second possibility is another program interfering - u can run MSCONFIG and set it to start in diagnostic mode. That will shut down most programs - it may or may not allow the problematic programs to operate. if so re-enable one at a time to allow ur email to work so u can test it. then one at a time till u find the issue.
If it doesn't work with all programs shut down then it is a

its is your internet add-ons
disable them all.
internet explorer TOOLS.MANAGE ADD-ONS
unfortunately it is all too easy for them to take ovr your keyboard
and then another one does something similar
before you know where you are they dont co-operate together
properly.
