What the Heck is with youtube?
You know, I don't think its really quite fair that people have simply gone on youtube and created and account with a username simply for the sake of having it. I have my username across 2 platforms and it is unique and simple. owatch But when I want to create a youtube account with that name I can't cause someone took it. I would have NO problem with that had the account been used for something. Which it hasn't
The account has been idle for 4 years. (2007)
AND had NO CONTENT, and has not been touched,
I really want this one username and I think it as unfair that I cannot put it to good use as someone hogged it instead. Is there anyway to get it back or is it just lost?

Nope, I want my account I made like 4 years ago back and i got responded that there is no verification that it was my account (PurpleLopez). And no they won't it's a matter of security. Basically for "them" its like saying "Hey these people haven't touched their bank account for 4 years can i have it?"

Welcome to the internet. Grow up and pick a different username. Add a "1" to it or something, and move on with your life.

its been done before, but i believe you have to have connections with a youtube partner, who can then contact the youtube managers directly.
