Why do Conservatives deny biological evolution and support social darwinsim?

The two don't really connect, since social darwinism has little to do with actual evolution. It's a catch phrase invented to replace the idea of Calvinist Fatalism.

Social Darwinism is just Protestant theology reworked with a gloss of pseudo-science. Where formerly they proclaimed that prosperity showed your godliness, they now proclaimed that prosperity shows you're more fit to survive. A Unitarian/Deist version of the same old theology, only now its the Watchmaker instead of Jesus.

I'll point out that the reverse of your statement is also true. Social Darwinism isn't at all popular with biologists, as they know too much. They know that social behavior is a survival trait in itself. Social Darwinism, in the educated, is mostly popular among people in technical fields and little or no organized knowledge of the humanities or biological sciences.

I am actually not a Christian.

I am a mechanical engineer, so that means I'm a scientist.

Therefore, I support the evolution theory and social Darwinism.

Also, I am an proud conservative.

Why do liberals endorse biological evolution and work to no end to prevent social darwinism.

Stop listening to stupid, irrelevant talking points. Most don't deny evolution. Most question that we evolved from an organism in a mud puddle.

Because evolution contradicts what their faith teaches them, so naturally people will reject it.

Evolution is fact.

Simple.

They are two different things.
