How do Bloch Balance Europeans and Bloch B Morphs compare?

I have the bloch balance europeans right now and i really need to get a new type of pointe shoe because the europeans are getting way to soft and easy for to get up onto and breaking too low which isnt giving me a challenge or any strength. I would like to stay with bloch so tell me what are the differences? Pros and cons of both shoes? To tell a little bit about my feet they are very stiff and not archy but not flat. I have stiff, weak ankles. The problem with the balance europeans was that they broke too low for me. If you know of a shoe that may work for me please give me your feedback! Thanks!

If you shoes are breaking too low, then you need to break them in before you dance in them, so they break in the right place. Professional dancers all break their shoes in before they dance in them. Here is a video showing you how to do this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pX-PNqJr9z4

Also, if you are breaking them in too low, then your feet may not be all that strong. Try working with a theraband to help correct this and remember to lift up out of your shoes.

Regarding the Bloch Morphs, they break in fast because you do it with hair dryer and heat to adjust the shank. Unlike the Europeans, the shank is a plastic insole that is supposed to be unbreakable. Here too, you must break in this shoe in the right place or you wont be able to dance in it. You may or may not like these shoes. In either case, you are going to have to manually break in your shoes before you dance in them.

I suggest that when you go for your next fitting you bring your old pointe shoes so the fitter can see how they and where they are breaking in. They might have a better suggestion of a shoe for you.

*EDIT: If you are breaking your shoes too low, the last thing you need is a harder shank and a longer vamp as Paris suggested. That is for dancers with a high arch and strong feet. Those things will prevent you from getting on your box. Especially if you have weaker feet which seams to be a possible problem from what you have said.

I've had both pairs but my BE's were my favourite. Honestly though, I couldn't tell much of a difference between the two. I guess the be's are much more snug, which is good if you have a taper which I do, so that's likely why I love them. Plus I think the be's make your feet look much better. The shank on the b morphs was also much harder and took longer to break in- it's a harder shoe type in general. The B-Morph has a square box with a long vamp and profile.

If you're willing to switch brands or look at any other brands... I really suggest grishkos. I have had a few pairs of grishkos. I LOVE the pro 2007's.

Mintchip is right- HOWEVER- I had the same issue with my BBE's. They are just made for a foot with a low profile. You need a shoe with a higher vamp and a stronger shank. Try these-

Bloch Snyegry ( I think these will be the best for you)

    Bloch Jetstream

    Rubin Russian Pointe

    Bloch Rehearsals.

    Good luck! Happy dancing.
