Would my US iphone 4 work with a Philippines SIM card?

Would my quad band iphone 4 work in Philippines if I bought a local Philippines SIM card?

Or would it be cheaper to buy one in Philippines?

    yes! ur iphone4 will work in the Philippines just buy a local SIM card (try globe, sun, smart)

    I had the comparable subject and that i got here across if I became my iPhone off, then switched sims then became it lower back on it known it. however the different guy could be correct. there's no longer an launch for 5.a million.a million yet.
