    Go to a different vet.

Chart when this is happening - is it anywhere nearthe time he gets a heartworm pill, or when you use flea and tick stuff?

Here is a website that connects to a Yahoo Group for support and loads of information -

Some basic things - have your dog neutered if he's not now.

Switch him over to grain-free kibble.

    Give him only filtered water,

Have him tested for thyroid problems, Lyme disease and lead poisoning

    Get to a veterinary neurologist:

And call his breeder, if they are reputable. they need to know about this.

detect a clean vet! Repeated seizures might reason present day recommendations harm and bring about dying. No vet ought to enable you recognize your dogs is 'superb' if it has had dissimilar seizures. There are somewhat low-cost drugs they are in a position to grant you to assist administration them. as nicely, in the event that they final for half-hour or longer, you need to have the ability to get him right into a vet on an identical time as he's seizing so they are in a position to get a greater effective theory of this style of seizure. save song additionally of what he ate earlier the seizure, his activities, etc. because it must be useful in determining a possible set off.

Find a new vet if you believe the one you presently has isn't listening to you.

However, in some cases there is nothing they do for seizures. But until they determine this, they will do testing to determine the cause for the seizure, and they will consider the frequency and veracity of the seizure...when it's determined to be health related rather than a neurological abnormality that might require surgical remedy, it's easily treated with daily pills but other times they don't do anything.

There are all kinds of ways to treat seizures. Your vet is WRONG. Find a new vet. Without treatment every seizure is killing brain cells and eventually a seizure will kill your dog without treatment

Now you take him to the vet. Immediately. Call and tell them you're coming in. If they still won't do anything, find another vet. There is medication for seizures.
