I drive a 2003 Kia Rio and I had an issue on the way to work?

As I was on the freeway, I started to hear a grinding noise from the back right tire, and the car started to weave slightly. I got off the freeway and parked when I could, noticing that I had to press really hard on the brake to come to a stop. When I got out of the car, there was a burning smell and smoke coming from around where the brake pads are. Any ideas? Bearings or brakes? Or both?

You could have ruptured a bearing seal causing bearing grease to splatter on the brake rotors thus making the car harder to stop. EIther way, the car is now NOT SAFE TO DRIVE. Get it towed and get it fixed however you choose, but don't drive it until then. Its not worth killing or injuring someone over.
