Denied job at Disneyland?
Had an interview today for attractions, told I would not proceed in the hiring process. Told me on the spot I wasn't energetic enough and didn't smile enough, despite recent great experience in school photography which requires much of the same attitude. Problem is, one on one interview with the standard questions about experience you get anywhere else... how can you be energetic, enthusiastic and smile? Seems so unnatural to me. I'm very professional one-on-one, but very open and out going in groups.
So what can I do differently next time... aside from obviously smile more? And how long before I can reapply?
I really wish they would have given me a second chance to show that I can be what they want, or present some sort of scenario.

They don't want someone who can "act like what they want". They want a person who is naturally what they want and unfortunately for you, that's not your personality. I doubt you'd do any better on a second interview. They've been interviewing a long time and they can tell who's cut out for the job and who's just trying hard to get the job.

They want fun up beat people who can interact easily with their customers. If this is not a normal part of your disposition then you need to look for a different type of work. Good Luck
