Many American presidents have smoked. President Obama is the most well known smoker since Bill Clinton; if Clinton smoked the cigars afterward.
Dwight Eisenhower was a heavy smoker, up to four packs a day, before he was elected president. FDR was probably the last president to be photographed while smoking. Grant smoked cigars quite often and died of cancer.
