What type of Laptop should I buy?

Question

I'm going to buy a laptop and I really want one that will actually last me because I've gotten many Dells but they either get a virus really easily or something happens. I just don't have good experiences with them.

Requirements: 

I want something small and thin 
Cant be more than 2,000 dollars 
Tell me why you recommend it
I usually just use my computers for facebook, research papers, and browing the web. 
I love Microsoft T but if you caconvincese me why Macs are good too then go ahead 
I want it decently big, no small mini laptops, I want a big screen but not too big

I recommend it because Macs are long lasting. They do not get any viruses, and the MacBook air is one of the thinnest laptops on the market. Apple is aware that people prefer PC over Mac as far as functionality, so Mac gives you step by step comparisons on what is the same on a Mac. You can add Word, Excl and Powerpoint all on a Mac. Safari, Apple's browser, was rated the top 5 browsers by Yahoo.

If you plan on just surfing the web and doing everyday computing that right there is a steal deal. It comes with a 720p webcam and it also has a 3.0 USB port. It also has a 15" screen...

But yeah, If you are just doing normal stuff then you wont need to spend over 500-600$.. For 2000$ you can get a really good laptop but the only reason for that is if you are gaming. Also, Do not get a MAC in my opinion windows is much better and easier to use.

Your computer usage suggests to me that you don't need a laptop that's more than $700, to be comfortable.
