cost analysis question?
A plant can manufacture 80 golf clubs per day for a total cost of 7647, and 100 golf clubs per day for a total daily cost of 9147.
A) assuming that the daily cost and production are linearly related, find the total daily cost of producing x golf clubs.
b) interpet the slope and y intercept of this cost equation.
I got the slope wich is 75 but I dont understand what its asking me on B. I did Y1-Y2/X2-X1. How do I get the constant and what would that and the slope be on B)?

You need to interpret the y intercept and slope.
The slope is 75 which means that it cost 75 per x value, where x is the amount of golf clubs. The y intercept is how much the production costs when x=0, in other words when no golf clubs are being made.

slope = (7647-9147) /(80-100) =75
y+mx+b
7647 =75*80 +b
b=1647
y=75x+1647
b= slope 75, intercept for y is 1647
you substitute either set 7647 and 80 or 9147 and 100 to get b
