What would happen if I was to connect the speaker output to the microphone input?

If I wanted to record audio from video, would I be able to do it like this?

Update:

I know my question may have sounded silly but some of the answers I have already received makes my head hurt!!

Yes, microphones don't have inputs, but the computer does. Since this was posted under the computer tab I assumed that the intelligent community would understand what I was talking about without details!

And speakers don't have microphones! Technically incorrect since properly calibrated a speaker could be used to pick up sound vibrations, but I don't wish to get into the mechanics of it here!

Thanks, though, to the couple of good answers!
