1995 Honda Civic Slow Aceleration?

when u ease in the gas pedal it acelerate prety normal but if u dont ease it in it acelerates slow any explanation for that?

its automatic transmission v4 16 valve

    One of two things - either the auto trans isn't downshifting when needed (stuck in a higher gear) or the flexplate (kind of like a "clutch" for an auto transmission) is bad/worn.

    If its a manual transmission you could need a new clutch. The sign is high rpms with slow acceleration.
