how to fix my conclusion sentence?

“Americans are not subjected to enough extreme events.” –Poppy Brites.

I do not agree with Poppy Brites assertion that Americans are not exposed to enough extremes. I think that we are to an extent, exposed to too many extreme events. For example, when I was little, I used to play outside all hours of the day, and my parents would not be as cautions as most parents are today. However, as I grew older, more and more crime rates started rising. It caused a fear for parents today; many would not allow their children outside without supervision. Parents would rather keep their little young lings inside and play video games, instead of playing with the neighborhood children outside. They are afraid their children are at risk of getting kidnapped, or killed by an old pedophile lunatic.

I just need my conclusion :o
