How much is he worth now?
I asked this question a few months ago and it was a matter of you'd be lucky to get £1000. So curious after all my work what do you think he'd be worth now? btw he will NEVER be for sale, just curious :)
He is a Black 15hh 9 year old gypsy vanner.
Schooling well: works in a nice outline, good transitions, currently working on leg yielding & flying changes - he is getting the hag of flying changes very well.
Jumps a 70cm course quite easily, and has done individual jumps of up to 3ft height x 3ft wide.
Hacks reasonably well in a group, can get a bit excited. Not spooked by anything when hacking on the roads, but occasionally see invisible monsters when off road. He recently did his first hack alone and was perfectly behaved, seems to hack better alone.
Took him to his first show over the summer and was 100%, was quite a big show with lots going on. He came 6th, judges comments were that he should have been 1st or 2nd but the individual show wasn't polished enough (totally my fault forgot the routine so had to make it up).
Goes on/off box no problem, great to clip (fidgets a bit with his ears but fine if you twitch whilst doing them). Great with the vet, doesn't even notice injections... Usually ok with the farrier, he is still getting used to have shoes put on so can be a bit silly. Not sure what he is like with dentist without sedative, he's sedated for it just because he is so big & strong all he'd have to do is move and he could knock someone out if hit them.
Has a extremely small splint that doesn't both him at all.
Erm think that's all the info... :)

First of all, he is GORGEOUS! Big and handsome. And you look good on him two! Also, I'm going to have to give you the price in $ cuz that's all I know. But I looked up a few webs on Google, and they're some for sale for 2,000, and some for up to 27,000! But he sounds, really nice, so I'm thinking 4-6,000 wouldn't be unreasonable. We bought a 13 year old Haflinger mare that sounds a lot like yours, and she was 6,000. If he's purebred, I think 5-6,000 wouldn't be bad. Look around the web for some add of Gypsies for sale, and try to find one like yours and see how much they're selling him for. And that's cool that he was jumping free like that! ;-) Good Luck!
Source(s): Ok, disregard all that about selling. I spent so long typing this I didn't see that comment. I was Googleling! But, still. The rest is revelent. So, bye! Oh, and I don't blame you for not selling him! I wouldn't! :-D - Anonymous10 years ago
Well depending on how well he is built and his structure I say he could go for 3000-5000 pounds. This also depends on the buyer and what they are looking for. He sounds like a nice horse. :)
Good luck selling him. :)
