What if Bible and Quran never existed?

I hope i spelled Quraan right sorry if i didn't.

Anyways, what if the Bible or Quraan were never discovered? would there be less trouble in the world? would people continue their lives the same as they would without the Bible/Quraan?

BTW, Are most Christians/Muslims good just to get into heaven? i would rather be dead than live a dead life. Hope my question didn't offend anyone.

    I do good things because it makes me feel good and not just because Qur'an said so.

    If the arguments of an evolutionary preference for religion are accurate, something else will just replace them.
