Can I dye my dark hair purple or any other color without bleaching it?

If your hair is that dark--then virtually nothing will show up--and it will wash out very quickly. And if the colour does show up--it will not be intense. ::c

But if you were to dye your hair with an unnatural colour--then I suggest getting a very concentrated/highly pigmented dye. Probably the best brand you can get is called "Pravana" but is only for professional use. You would have to order it through a salon or purchase it on the internet. The colours are AMAZING--especially the purple. And it contains silk/keratin treatments that make your hair very soft.

If you cannot purchase hair dyes off the internet--then I suggest the brand "Splat" which is sold at Walgreen's and some Walmarts. The kit is about 7-11 dollars--depending on the area you live in and on pre-lightneed hair, it lasts about 8+ weeks for me. The blue is the best colour--but the red will probably show up the best on dark hair.

If you can't find the Spalt brand--then I suggest Manic Panic (Amplified) brand. It does not last very long--but the colours seem to dye decently over dark hair. And again, the reds show up the best--as well as some purples. Greens, blues, yellows, etc. probably will not show well--and will fade grossly.

If and/or when you do dye your hair with the colour--leave it on for a LONG time... try heat processing it with a hair dryer... or even leave it in over night. This will make the colour much more vibrant and last longer. Then when you go to wash it out--rinse your hair well, but don't use shampoo--use conditioner and don't wash your hair again for more than 24-48 hours. By doing all these things, you should have some really nice hues in your hair. ::)

(And bleach is NOT bad--if you know how to repair your hair. The ingredients in Pravana dyes repair bleached hair well--so in the future when you are allowed to--I recommend using the Pravana.)

I actually personally think guys look extremely steamy with short hair. I had a guy friend that had a afro and he cut it in eighth grade year and he suddenly obtained soo much cuter.

I've experienced mine both ways too... but the husband prefers it short... he never ever complains when I grow it very long, but is always all over him self w/the complements when I cut it off

Brown would really suite you in the opinion. It looks really pretty as well as it has a style that's actually noticeable. You'd look good with this.

You can buy 2 lemons, squeeze them, and then add equal parts of water, then go outside, and spray it all over in your hair, this will make it blonde/white, then ou can dye it whatever color, to make it show up on your hair better, my favorite brand of dye, is loreal paris, and it shows up on blonde hair really good, i suggest doing the lemon stuff, and Then, dying your hair :) PLZ BE BEST ANSWER!

No need for bleaching. Just dye it. Go forr it xD. Use Revlon or something their all the same except for the cheap brands xD. Umhh i love the Kat color from Victorious its so pretty! :D

I think stripping might help. Its not bleaching but it should help because your hair generally is only supposed to be dyed darker in order for it to turn out
