    To find the Y intercept you set x to zero so that you can see where the graph crosses y axis. This would make the Equation y+0 = -3. If you solve for Y the answer is Y = -3.

    If you wanted to put it in Y intercept form you would subtract x from both sides. The answer will be Y = -X - 3

    (0, -3) is the ordered pair.

    X = 0 and Y = -3
