What kind of fish should i get? ?
I'm trying to figure out what kind of fish to get? I have a 10gal with a filter system and heater. I was thinking guppies but those make babies too fast, but I want colorful fish so maybe someone can give me some ideas. I'm also just starting out so something good for a beginner too! Thank you for your help.

Platies
Mollies
Swordtails
Zebra Danios
Barbs
Tetras
PS: Dont go for a Betta Splenden (Siamese Fighter) because they are territorial and will not tolerate other fishes of their own size and colour. Though they are beautifully colourful, they will restrict your choices and options greatly. Also you can't put more than 1 male betta since they do nt tolerate other male bettas in their territory. Dont go for goldfishes either, since they will need more space once they grow to their adult size.
Surf the net and figure out the species whose adult size is 2-3 inches.
Even with your current tank volume, you won't be able to successfully keep more than 4-6 of the fishes I've mentioned above.
If your is a new tank, I suggest you put in 2-4 Mollies as they are hardy fihes and will be excellent for cycling. Research more on 'cycling the tank'.

get a couple mollies and platys. you can get guppies too but just males. (or females therenot as pretty though) usually theres a reason why people put amae and a femal guppy together.

You can get mollies, platys and tetras (in groups of more than 6) or a male betta, by itself.
