How do I compress video file size?

The videos I shoot in my camera turn out to be too large like 100 mb/minute. How come an average 4 min YouTube video is within 20 mb along with high quality as well? Is it possible to turn my videos to such files? If yes, how?

Update:

I know I can compress them using zip files, but I want to actually lessen the file size. HOW DO THEY HAVE LONG VIDEOS WITH LESS FILE SIZE WHILE MINE ARE DAMN HIGH (QUALITY NOT COMPROMISED).

Nobody's able to give me a satisfying answer.

How come the movies have file size around 700mb that I download but a video from my camera of 10 minutes exceeds 1GB? How do others shrink the size without decreasing the quality? HOW? HOW? HOW?

Well Your File format is may be either MKV or AVI. try converting your videos in another format such 3GP or MP4 format. Though it will make your video some kind of blurry but file size will decrease.

Download 7-zip, winzip or winrar. 7-zip is the easiest to use and it's free. Right click on the file 7-zip>Add to archive. You just continue the rest.
