I'd like to sell my childhood stamp collection. Where should I advertise it?
I'm trying to get rid of excess stuff and stuff that I don't use and found my childhood stamp collection. I'd like to sell it (either together or individual stamps) and noticed there isn't much of a market on eBay. Any suggestions on where to try to sell it? Websites or places that people have had luck with?

First thing I think you should do is get in touch with a local stamp dealer to assist you in pricing your stamp collection. The National Stamp Dealers Association (NSDA), The American Stamp Dealers Association these are a couple of dealers that you can contact.
Look in your local phone book for stamp dealer and buyers, check with your BBB to see if they can help you find a good stamp dealer. Do your research on the value of your collection before you sell. There are books that you can purchase that will give you an ideal as to the value of a individual stamp.
As to e-bay, craigslist there are a lot of people selling on them and you may or may not get the best deal for what you have.
First and foremost you should take your time, research, and contact a stamp dealer for assistance in selling your stamps. They might know of someone that is looking to purchase what you have.
Good luck in your selling.

I'd say Craigslist but too many people scam with Craigslist so your luck might not be the best. Make flyers and post them in hobby shops. Etsy.com is a website you could sell handmade and I'd suppose hobby related stuff as well. I believe they charge a small fee to host your items but its better than craigslist. Or another option could be a pawn shop. Hope I helped.

You should put it up for auction, it's the best way I think since it'll be viewed by people who are knowledgeable about stamps so it'll be more likely to be sold, good luck :)
