How can I relax/prevent an anxiety attack?
This is probably going to sound really silly, but my fiance is leaving for bootcamp tomorrow and last night when he and I were trying to sleep, I started crying really hard. But it was different than "regular" crying - I felt like I was going to vomit, and I was having trouble breathing and my chest hurt. I was trying to slow my breathing and relax, but it wasn't helping. Is there anything I can do to help? Breathing techniques? I know it will be hard to say goodbye tomorrow but is there anything I can do to help my body not react that way?

Your fiance is leaving for bootcamp, I'd feel nauseous and start crying too! I don't think you had an anxiety attack, I think you just got overwhelmed which is understandable. Unless you've had these "attacks" before, I wouldn't worry at all. However if you have had these attacks before, I would see a therapist. You may want to anyway just to have someone to talk to and help you cope with your fiance not being around while he's away at bootcamp. As for when he leaves, go ahead and cry! Show emotions, it would be weird if you didn't! But also keep in mind that you will see him again- he's not going away forever. <3

1. Breath in and out for 5 min
2. Tell yourself, this is temporary. Think of the ending; when he comes home.
3. Tai Chi or Yoga
