Can someone help me with the grammar in this sentence?

I am doing an essay on facing fears. i am having troubles with this sentence because i dont know whether to use are or is.

*Another example of people who face fears are soldiers

    I would write that as "Soldiers are another example of people who have to face fears".

    Your original sentence isn't too bad although it could probably be changed to "Another example of people who have to face fears, are soldiers".

    You would use "are" though, definitely.
