Hello Mrs Obama, Dr. Biden. Thank you for taking the time to take our questions. I 'm very afraid this country is going backwards in time. Before the Indian Child Welfare act my grandmother and her sister were taken away from my great grand mother and fostered out to work in a white/Spanish family in New Mexico. My great grandmother never recovered from losing her 2 daughters. My grandmother and her sister never recovered from being taken away.

They were not only deprived of their family, but of an education, their childhood and culture. It tore the family apart. Our family has never been able to regroup again. I have no idea which reservation they were taken off, or what happened to my grandmothers other siblings that were left on the reservation. My grandmother and grand aunt were not only taken because they were Native american, but because they were obviously of African ancestry.

What scares me now is the fact that even with the Indian Child Welfare act, Native families are being destroyed again. Again, children are being stolen out of their homes by the foster "care" system. And people are making MONEY in the process.

My question is; what can you do to stop the destruction of the Native American Family in S. Dakota? What can you do to help Native families get the services needed for family reunification? PLease stop the government sanctioned business of giving Native Children to White families for profit?

Considering the state of our country over the last 20 years, I applaude your husbands for even attemptng to to correct what had been done. Yes, history was made but that celebration only lasted for a little while. I wouldn't wish their jobs on our worst enemies. Our country has become a laughing stock for its own people. We have failed on so may levels whether it be political, family, health, education and most of all, our children. We are the reason that they are lost. The legacy that they will inherit is nothing to be proud of. Even the rich are so blinded by their wealth that their money and notariety are more nurturing to their children than they are. So my question is, do you regret or wish that your husbands had never won the presidency and vice-presidency?

What can college students currently do to support military families?

My question if to Mrs. Obama,

I work at a public library in a very poor county in Northeast Florida. My library's operational budget for six branches has shrunk from $130,000 to $89,200 for a year-a year. We have had staff cutbacks, book budgets disappear or taken away from us not even mid-year. Yet, services that we offer have not been cut. In fact, children's services has INCREASED. At my branch during the summer, with a staff of four full-time employees, 6 part-time employees, and anywhere from 25-30 part-time teen volunteers, who by the way, volunteer so that they can compete for the Florida Sunshine Scholarships-sometimes volunteering up to 1250 hours in two and half months-these kids I supervise and train, we as a branch, average about 2500 people in one month-1230 in the Children's department. My question, after all of this, is what kind of funding is available to public libraries, as a whole, from the federal government, if any? And, the services libraries offer have changed to fit the needs of their users, with many librarians acting as ad-hoc social workers assisting the unemployed with filling out their benefits forms online, assisting social security recipients set up email accounts and helping dependent families apply for aid because the City or federal employees whose jobs these are send these people to the public library for assistance because they are short-staffed, too. So who helps the librarians?
