Is it true that the Trustees of St Paul's have strong links to financial industry, as one protester claimed?
There was an older man on the news one night saying he had investigated this himself and they had personal close links which is why they are playing the political game, I just wondered how true this was.
The protester to which I am referring looked more retired than unemployed
Also, he implied more than they simply had investments.
It would seem Christianity's tag line should read "Do as I say, not as I do"
Apparently all H&S guidelines were adhered to, the decision to close the Cathedral was purely,,,,,?! I care neither for religion nor protesters, just showing an interest in the news.

Yes of course, but no more than any sensible business trying to gain financially through investments. Any individual who has any money and wants a return on that money do exactly the same.
If a protester has no money, then he can get a job like the rest of us and try and build an investment for their future. Problem is, we live in a blameworthy society. If things go wrong, it has always to be someone elses fault!
Of course the church plays the political game, they have bishops in the House of Lords, so they have a voice within politics. That is nothing new and that older guy, who's probably younger than me, would know that!

Yes, some of the Trustees have links to the financial sector, but the protesters who keep bringing that up are entirely missing the point. The Health and Safety inspector is not a banker, and is only interested in, well, keeping people safe. They are the ones who said the protest caused a problem and advised closure, not the Trustees.

If that's an excuse for closing the cathedral then it's a pretty pathetic one. If they want to obstruct the financial sector and stop the banks, then why do they simply not camp outside one?

The Church Commissioners have lots of money invested in land and buildings all over our country and in others too.
They have to in order to pay their way in this world - they pay salaries and have the upkeep of all these massive buildings - they can't just hold out their hands and ask for more.

why don't you do this . go research it and find the answer. Knowledge is power and the news source has none of that. look for outside sources when doing research.
