2000 Windstar TPS ? Trans-axle Positioning Solenoid?
What is this Solenoid ? Trans -axel Postion Solenoid ? What are the signs and symptoms of this part going off ? I have NOT taken my starter off... but my Van is NOT starting... Just a click, clicking noise all the wires and contacts are clean and free of debris and corrosion. The starter may or may not be original , but i am a bit reluctant to think its the solenoid on the starter?

TPS? usually means "throttle position sensor." It wouldn't make the click, clicking.
Get a jump-start, go to Auto-Mart and get battry.

TPS is the throttle position sensor. Did you guess at the meaning? Might be a bad battery. It can have plenty of power to run lights and radio, but not engage the starter.
