A bunch of British and Hessian soldiers drunk and asleep on a holiday weekend. That's why Washington pwned them.

Astonishment, that turned to terror after the Battle of Princeton.

No European Army fought in winter. And Washington attacked in bad weather. Washington had appeared out of no where.

In the next few weeks Washington would attack a remote British garrison, leave campfires for Cornwallis to attack, while Washington marched around the British and attacked them again. After Princeton General Howe abandoned New Jersey.

Napoleon and Wellington both said this was Washington's and the Americans greatest victory of the war.
