Is it possible to hold the BBC to account for their programming by petition?

    Not a chance. I failed to get them interested in a different point of view when I joined a group of bearded loonies from Regent's Park Mosque and threw shoes at broadcasting house, while chanting 'Death to BBC!', so you don't think those overpaid management freaks are going to take any notice of your list of names do you?

    @Joediddy - the suggestion that the powers that oversee the BBC output would react favorably to pressure from the 'Fox' direction, shows a total misconception of their reaction to the word 'Murdoch'. They believe their reason for existence is to shelter the people of the world from his influence. Any such criticism would be counter-productive in the extreme.

    Yes, but there would have to be a lot of such petitions in order to get the executives of the BBC to realize it's actually an issue; a bit of media coverage (hey, FOX, I know you're out there) couldn't hurt that specific cause either.
