Moving from NJ to CA, will my auto/motorcycle license be invalid?

I have a New Jersey Auto License as well as the New Jersey Motorcycle Endorsement. If I move to California, will any of that matter regarding my eligibility to drive a motorcycle/scooter/car legally?

    Check with the state laws.

Most states grant you a 30-60 day grace period to change your license(s) over.

So, moving, driving and riding there will not be a problem. Just remember to switch over after you get settled in.

the laws are the same in every state you can drive there but after 30-90 days you need to change it to a California license, unless you live there less than 6 months of the year or are a student

Most States have reciprocation laws, good enuf in 1 state is good enuf for the other.

BUT Ca has more restrictive emissions.

If there are other findings, assume you can pass them and fill in the blanks.

You have ten days after you have residency to get your license and registration changed. They can give you a ticklet after that for not doing it.
