Prices of a Werner Maynard cabinet grand piano?
I inherited a Maynard cabinet grand piano. I did some research and it looks like the piano company Werner was involved in making the pianos with Maynard out of Chicago, IL. The company went out of business in 1928. The piano is in rough shape. No one in my family plays the piano. I was curious on what a Maynard cabinet grand piano sells for?
3 AnswersClassical9 years agoReplacing a motorcycle seat cover?
I'm replacing the seat cover on my vintage race bike, a 1980 Maico 440. The seat cover did not come with any instructions.
What type of glue to you use to secure the new seat cover to the base?
One site I went on advised using 1/8" staples. I checked my local hardware stores and no one had them.
If I take it to a regular upholstery shop that does furniture, will they be able to put on the cover?
6 AnswersMotorcycle Racing9 years agoWhy isn't there a IROC type of race for motocross?
I saw an old IROC Z today and wondered why didn't they ever do that for motocross? Where all the bikes would be exactly the same. The last pro racer I know that ran a bone stock bike was Bob Hannah. It would be interesting to see the lap times of the top pro's on a bone stock bike. They could allow modifications as long as every other bike had the exact same mod. Does anyone know why it was never done?
1 AnswerMotorcycle Racing10 years agoWhy are modern dirt bikes and motocross racers saw horses?
New dirt bikes are almost completely flat from the gas tank gas cap to the rear fender, why? There used to be a nice dip in the seat where you would slid up into to turn, that dip is now gone. The manufacturers could still put the dips in if they wanted to, why aren't they?
6 AnswersMotorcycle Racing10 years agoWhat brand of new motocross racing pants have knee and hip pads built in?
I am looking for a new pair of motocross racing "un-leathers" and none of the major manufacturers put pads in the knee and hip areas anymore. I have a pair of 1980's Hallman un-leathers that have knee cups and hip pads, but they don't make them anymore. I would even be willing to go back to leather motocross pants to get the protection. I have seen road racing suits with the pads, but I really don't want to wear a road racing suit while riding motocross.
Motorcycle Racing10 years agoHas any one ridden or owned a Wildfire WFG-200LDB?
I know this is the racing category, I need racers opinions and feedback.
Thinking about buying one of these Chines bikes for the kids and taking it out on the motocross track.
The thing is brand new and dirt cheap, I'm worried as soon as I hit the dirt with it, it's gonna fall apart.
Has anyone owned one? Has anyone ridden one? How is the power? How is the suspension? Will my kids be happy goofing off on it?
I've been riding since 1973. I currently own a 1978 Maico 400, 1980 Maico 440 and a 1982 Honda XL 500 R.
