Beauty ideals in different cultures?
I'm doing a project for school about beauty ideals in different cultures, and I was wondering if anyone knew some. I know in Canada and the US, being skinny is the ideal while in Africa women with curves and flesh are the picture of ideal beauty. What about other countries? Germany, Australia, Mexico? I've been trying to find some info online, but haven't found much, surprisingly.

the ideals of beauty should ideally be the particular features of the people who inhabit that country. its not always, which is sad. but beauty is all relative, differs by the one doing the looking.

You speak of America as if America is one basic unit when it is not.
The land of America envelopes a multiplexity of ideal beauty types, and what one breed of people may find appealing, the other may not.
For example, white American men are attracted to flat rear ends while black men prefer theirs nice, firm, well rounded and plump.
