Why religions are based on the things which has no physical evidence?
I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings.
Any one who can think will ask for physical evidence. Why do religions expect people to believe them even there is no proof?
No one arguing for religions here seem to understand this.

If there is physical proof then you could test it and prove it was wrong. Without physical evidence there is no way of knowing if it's right or not, it might be wrong but it might be right. You just don't know.
Aren't they sneaky...

Because religions are based on FAITH... the moment something has evidence or proof it is no longer a religion since it will no longer require faith. It would become science (not scientology, that is a religion). Any religious person searching for proof is searching for the end of their religion. Almost any religion says you must have FAITH in it, so if you prove it then it is blasphemy.
Come on people... don't seriously try to act like there is PROOF of any religion... that's ridiculous. The reason why the big bang and physics are not religion is because they are scientific fact. To say there is proof because there is "record of soliders seeing Jesus's empty tomb" is pretty funny. In the court of law that's is called heresay and is inadmissible as evidence.
Jellybean: Prove to me that the fact that I exist proves that God exists and I will give you 1million dollars and my first born child. Yes our existence proves creation... but it doesn't not prove intelligent design (creation by God). There are many things on Earth that are the result of thousands of years of evolution, trial and error by mother earth/physics, and are results of random physical reaction.
Just because there is no proof for the religion does not mean there is proof against it. So religious people need to stop arguing and trying to say there is proof.
You don't need proof to follow a religion, in fact you CAN'T have proof.
Some people need religion, some need fact. There is NOTHING wrong with either path. They are all paths to the same place. But this "argument" that some of the answering people are trying to create is absurd. It only proves that religion stops a thinking mind and shows how little religious people understand. In my experience and studies, deeply religious people are the least educated on religion and the least willing to listen logical discussion. They always try to prove something that can't be and doesn't need to be proved.

Religions and faiths are based on faith, not hard evidence, anyway. Like, trusting a friend. You can't give everyone you meet a background and credit check, you'd have no friends very soon.
You believe in Einstein's Theory? Would you demand evidence and proof? Could you even understand the evidence and proof? Some things are just accepted. (Take that, @Athiest!)
There is historical evidence. One hundred Roman soldiers are recorded as seeing Jesus' tomb empty, the huge stone rolled aside. He is recorded in history as a real person. So is Mohammad and Buddha.
If you think the writing is false, well, ok, your choice. Then you may as well not believe that Caesar, Ptolemy, Homer, or even Abe Lincoln existed just because you weren't there and have to trust someone else's recording of it.

Back in ancient times, it made a sort of sense. Natural phenomenon, storms, floods, earthquakes, the tides, seasons, fruiting and dying of crops, even birth and death, all demanded and explanation, and attributing them to the caprice of supernatural entities was in many ways a satisfying answer in the absence of any other, especially if you speculated that these entities could be bargained with and placated.
As we learned more about how the universe actually works, the less we needed the gods hypothesis, until these days it is just silly. But it still seems to fulfil a need in a surprising number of otherwise intelligent people. Such people trot out personal anecdotes and arguments from subjective credulity as if they amounted to proof.

You answered your own question... Religions are based on things with no evidence because there is no evidence.
Religion is in itself an argument from ignorance, the religious feel a need for an explanation, to feel the world makes sense, and so they accept a nonsensical answer because it is an answer. Any port in a storm, so to speak. Once they have accepted that belief, they are now emotionally invested in the belief, and denial of the belief would put them back into a state of uncertainty.

No proof !!!!!
first of all , God existence is already evident through all the things he created . you are an evidence of God's existence . religions provided evidence . now God is wise and gave man a mind and a power to choose
do you HONESTLY believe there is no creator behind all of this ?? did we just happen to happen ??
to me that is just irrational and illogical .
also , assume a stronger physical evidence was discovered and proved that God existed . then tell me , what's the point of living ? God wants to test our beliefs . if he in anyway revealed himself any further then all human kind will be forced to believe in him .... does that make sense to you ??
this life is nothing but a road to the after life , now this is your challenge . pass or no pass .
good luck mate .
