Which law should be followed?

If a federal law and a state law are in direct opposition to each other, which law should be followed, and why?

    Which ever one will throw you in jail is the one you should follow by not doing it.

    "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."

    Federal law has a specific jurisdiction that is different from State law. I cannot think of a possible example of them contradicting eachother.
