Need help with school? Tips?
Welp, my grades just seem to continue to drop. I started with all A's for the first six weeks or so but then I dunno what happened. I despise homework and just never do it, I try to study but never get around to it. I put fun before school. I'm extremely lazy and I just can't seem to apply myself. I want to succeed in life and go to college on a scholarship or something of those sorts and in order to do that I need my grades to go up. I have all F's besides an A and A- In algebra and english. I try VERY hard to apply myself and I can just never do it. I'll wake up with confidence and decide that in order to achieve the goals I have in life I need to start working harder, studying and actually doing my homework, but then by the end of the day I get all caught up with friends and hyped up and when I get home the thought of doing anything school-related is completely blocked from my mind and I end up leaving right when I get home to go hang with friends or stay home to play games. I need tips to help me WANT to apply myself. Having things taken away only makes it worst because when my dad took my phone away it only stressed me out and drew my focus out of proportion during school.
So, study tips, Homework tips, something to motivate me to do my homework and study, etc?

well, we are very similar. :) i have been having the same problem. i had strait A's in eighth grade. but now that i entered high school, im getting loaded with a **** load of homework and im like, "well, bean squash! i dont wanna do this!!! >.<" and im being lazy too.
but what helps me get unlazy is remembering that i have the power to change and the power to choose that i want to do well. and what really helped me even more was letting guilt get to me on purpose. my friend, she is in all honors, and algebra II and she has mostly A's, and starts her homework at 5:00. me, i have A's and B's and have normal classes except for honors world geo, and i start my homework at 7:00 or 8:00.(actually, right now, i should be doing my homework). and i remember how my other friend HAS to do her homework during school. she doesnt have the choice to choose to be caught up with friends. she doesnt have internet at home, so she does her homework at school when she could be hanging out with her friends. and that makes me look really lame cause i can play games and stay home, but my other friends cant. and they are doing better in school than me.
study tips: music that you wont sing along to. even though it is tempting, put the music at a low volume. it really does help focus some people. you dont have to write things down, but keep in mind how much homework you have each night. sitting down and starting homework doesnt help me because 1. i dont like sitting when doing homework, 2. i dont like doing homework at the exact same time. another tip is NOT to study or do homework with friends. i think we both are the kind of person who gets destracted by the person i am supposed to be studying with. while other people work BETTER with someone studying or doing homework with them. oh yeah, do computer homework LAST!!! the computer is much too distracting to concentrate or have the will to do homework or other stuff.
motivation: food!!! if your family lets you have dinner at whatever time you want (mine doesnt), have dinner as a motivation. my other motivation is my bunnies. i love them. and my favorite time of day is when im taking care of them. but i tell myself that in order to put my bunnies back into their night time cage, i have to finish a certain amoutn of homework.
if you dont follow through with the motivation things, that pretty much means that you dont care or want enough to do well in school (^^more motivation^^).
sorries this is long!!! hope it helped thoughs! >.<

Always have a sense of achievement with your work, this helps because it motivates you more to study and compromise your schedule like study first then fun later or fun on weekends, in researches or assignments use your resources like books and INTERNET, make learning fun too so that you cannot easily bored. Like me, I hated school, then I realized that school is fast or just four years because im in High School, i did not waste any time, i studied and studied until i reach the top, and I enjoyed high school, i had plenty of friends and I balanced my time well. Remember Enjoy Life and "Education is the key to success" :) Hope this helps
