By scabbing do you mean you get like crust around your piercing? That's normal. Navel piercings take 6-12 months to heal so yours is just still healing. Make sure you're doing sea salt soaks twice a day for 5-10 minutes each soak.

i had the same problem with mine! i thought it was infected. i used tea tree spray, and betadine, spray/cream. what i did was every night after i had a shower, before bed i sprayed my belly button with the tea tree spray and moved the belly bar up and down just to clean it up a bit and put some betadine cream or spray on the scabby scar-y bit, popped a piece of tape over the top (so the yuck stuff doesnt get on your clothes.) and took the tape off in the morning. i continued to do that for a few weeks and everything cleared up! i swear by it, give it a try it was through my experiance so im not promising because it could be differant for you but it has worked for a friend and myself, hope this helped a bit! :)

What are you using to clean it with? It may be a bit harsh. If you're doing sea salt soaks, you only want 1/4tsp of salt per cup of water.

Maybe your skin is really sensitive and its reacting to the metal in the ring...? I know some people that have to get a certain ring or their skin gets irritated.
