SOHO Observatory again Geoff?

Thanks Geoff, The Lasco wide angle is fine, but the 4 filter images from the EIT are hidden behind a mist of noise.

Got ot this latest images address and click any EIT image "More 512 x 512" for a history"

    Hi Alan,

Yes you're right. I've seen this happen in the past with SOHO cameras. Sometimes the images are replaced with a message saying that the detectors are "baked" or something like that. They must have some way of repairing the cameras in space, because eventually we got images from all of them again.

    could it be this?...

    http://umbra.nascom.nasa.gov/eit/CCD_bakeout.html

I emailed SOHO about it and got this reply.....

''are you doing a bakeout now?''

No, some problem with mixing dark current frames in pre- and post-bakeout

    calibration lamp images.

People are working on it and it should be fixed soon.
