Other turn-based RPGs with auto-battle?

I recently started playing Final Fantasy IV: The Complete Collection, and I'm in love with the game's auto-battle feature--my least part of RPGs has always been tedious combat. Does anyone know of any other RPGs with an auto-battle feature like this?

There are various amounts of RPG's all over the internet and Xbox like you said final fantasy has got to be a very good RPG on Xbox maybe the best but on the CPU you can get rpg's such as runescape, dragon fable a 2D one, adventure quest tbh out of all these i'd recommend Minecraft as it is such a good building block game soon to be a very famous online game and much much more oh btw a new rpg is coming on Xbox it's called skyrim i'm sure you've heard of it.i myself look forward to such a well designed game but i'm not too sure about auto-battle features as these could make it a less exciting adventure which we don't want because we all hope to enjoy such a masterfully crafted rpg.

eternal sonata is a reliable RPG, besides the indisputable fact that this isn't any longer a standard western RPG like delusion, Fallout, Oblivion, Morrowind etc. this is like very last delusion. project Gotham sequence isn't too undesirable. besides the indisputable fact that, the PS3 has more advantageous RPG's, the 360 is an American console and doesn't promote properly in Japan (using Hiroshima) and as success may have it, alot of the perfect RPG's are eastern, it truly is the major reason i have been given rid of my 360 and offered a PS3.

I can't think of any, I actually think the specific styles of fighting, turn based and ATB are patented by Square Enix. According to Wikipedia it was used from IV up to X. I think this system of fighting though is perculiar to the FF series and is one of the things (besides the awesome story telling) that makes it so popular.

Auto-battle, eh? If you have a gamecube or a Wii, I suggest Baten Kaitos. Pretty fantastic game. I think the combat is a lot of fun too. =)

Source(s): I used to play it a ton! Lots of hours of gameplay too!

What could be easier then pushing A on attack? I love all the final fantasy games except 9-13. FFVI is my favorite.

Mother/Earthbound has an auto battle feature, I believe also Lunar Legend and tales of phantasia, all of them stellar games. Mother 3/Earthbound is especially good.

Once you get a decent number of Gambits, FF12 practically has Autobattle.
