Is there any way to get Word on my computer for free?

The people who spammed the newsgroup with messages about other products, without answering truthfully that there is a free version of Microsoft Word, can be reported using the Report Abuse link next to each spam message. The abuse type is SPAM, which violates Yahoo's community guidelines.

Get yourself an external CD drive that plugs into a USB port if you really want Word. Chances are, if you plan to use your netbook for serious stuff, that won't be tha last thing you'll want to install on it anyway.

Download Open Office

It usually comes on every computer pre-installed whether you want it or not. Microsoft gives it away for free. I'm sure there's an app for that.

Get open office. It is essentially microsoft office for free. You can open and save documents as word documents, and so you can also open them in word. Plus you can save in other formats.

You may be able to download Word 2003 for free or you could download Abiword, its like word and its free! :)

You should just download OpenOffice. It's 99.9% Compatible and FREE
