I keep finishing around 9-12 place in my local standard tourney's. What would you suggest to include or replace. I was considering swiftwood boots to make my creatures hexproof, what do you think?
Thanks for the ideas. I can sometimes win turn 3-4, I play standard so I thought Giants Growth was out. I keep Jace in to replenish my hand as I seem to go through cards in a hurry. Tezarett's Gambit is a thought though.
You're right it is Steady Progress. I did this from memory.
but please keep the suggestions coming.
and yes I want Inkmoth Nexus but cannot afford to buy 4 of them.

He's right. Jace really is a bad fit here, but U/G is an odd color combo for infect. I'm assuming Steady Resolve is supposed to be Steady Progress in which case i would replace it with Tezzeret's Gambit. If you're worried about Black Sun's Zenith(the premier -1/-1 black removal spell) then put Melira in SB and put in more infect creatures (ichorclaw would be best) in the main. Swiftfoot boots is a good idea, gives haste for some surprise and hexproof dodges removal. In my honest opinion though, I think you should scrap this list and go either U/B control infect (look up Brian Kibler's U/B infect for some ideas) as jace would be a better fit in there, or go for some B/G or R/G Aggro infect that focuses on winning turns 2-4. Another good way for surprise infect is the B/R suicide phyrexians deck. Here's the link to the budget version http://www.wizards.com/magic/magazine/article.aspx...

Here are a few suggestions that I use in my infect deck. Because you are running green in the deck, you probably want to run some pump spells that green has been notorious for. Some good pump spells are Mutagenic Growth, Titanic Growth, Unnatural Predation (especially when combined with Titanic or Mutagenic Growth), and because you want to throw in artifacts, definitely run some Mirran Mettle (cost 1 forest to play, give something +2+2, but if you have 3 or more artifacts on the battlefield it gives +4+4 instead). Inkmoth Nexus is a must have in an infect deck (at least 2 or 3 if you can't get 4). Because you are running black, you should probably have 2 (max) Sitherix Blight Dragon. They are 4/4 flyers with infect, you can pay an extra swamp as it enters the battlefield to give it haste, and it takes 2 swamps to regenerate it. It's also kind of a must-have in an infect deck running black. Other must-haves are Phyrexian Crusader (x4 if you can) and Hand of the Preator (x2 or 3). Some creatures that would be good in green/black infect are Plague Stinger (x4), Blight Mamba (x4), Septic Rats (x4), Ichor Rats (x4. Sideboard them out if you are playing another infect deck though). Something you should probably have on your sideboard is Apostle's Blessing (x4). Apostle's Blessing is a white card, but it costs 1 and 1 white phyrexian mana, so you can always pay 2 life to play it. It gives target creature protection from artifacts or any color of your choice, so they are nice to have when playing a 1-color deck (play it, give your creature protection from a color, attack [creatures of that color can't even block it], then pump up the creature for maximum poison counters). If you are interested in artifacts (which it sounds like you are), Ichorclaw Myrs are good, Plague Myrs are also decent, Corpse Curs are also pretty good because you can get infect creatures from your graveyard. If you want hexproof on your creatures, you probably want some Swiftfoot boots, but they are only okay in an infect deck. The better equipment is Livewire Lash (when equiped creature is targeted by a spell or ability, it deals 2 damage to target player). Put that on an infect creature, and when its targeted by a spell/ability it does 2 poison counters to target player. Combine that with the pump spells i was talking about earlier, and you have a recipe for epicness. Target it with your own spells, deal 2 poison counters to target opponent for each pump spell. It gets pretty dirty pretty fast. That was probably more than you were expecting, but I hope it all helps. :)

Jace does nothing for this deck. Get rid of him. Swiftfoot Boots, Giant Growth, Ichorclaw Myr, and Corpse Cur would all be good choices.

Take out the Jaces and put in Putrefax, it will make your deck 10,000 times better.
