What author do you have contempt for, even after reading a number of their books?
Obviously everyone is going to say Stephanie Meyer for Twilight. In this case, please only answer Stephanie Meyer if you actually read all of the books.
I have two authors that make me look back and wonder why I read a number of their books.
Dean Koontz: Happy endings in a horror book. He's had some winners, but I've been fooled too many times by him.
Matthew Reilly: The man uses so many cliffhangers I fall off my seat right onto the floor.

Stephanie Meyer. Unfortunately, I did read all of her books. I regret doing so.
Another author I regret reading from? Jerry Speneli. Or Edgar Allen Poe- this guy was just disturbing.

Dean Koontz. I have read one book by him that I liked and it was one of his earlier ones.
Stephanie Meyer. I don't like the idea that so many impressionable people are reading that drivel.
Anne McCaffery. I just don't like her writing style and it keeps me from sinking into the story.

Julie Garwood- it always has to revolve around a murder- it gets pretty old and just plain predictable.
