University of Florida or University of Central Florida?

Question

I'm a junior in high school, and my mind is already made up to go in the medical field, possibly Dentistry. I've heard so many pros/cons about both schools. UF has been my dream school since the 6th grade, but UCF also sounds a little intriguing. 

As far as the medical program, I know that UF is the one to go to.

I just want opinions from both the schools, specifically people who went/are attending there :)

UCF? Ghetto? Um no.

UCF's medical program is expanding, but to be honest it doesn't really matter where you go for your bachelors, its where you go for Med School that matters. I went to UCF, so I'm biased towards it! I absolutely loved everything about college though. I loved UCF, the campus was beautiful, the people were great, there was always stuff to do, etc... It just depends on you personally though. UF is more traditional, UCF is more modern. UF is in a small, college town (I personally hate Gainesville... I do love Auburn though!), while UCF is right outside of a big city. I 100% loved UCF though. I had my transcripts and money and everything sent to UF, but I took a weekend trip with a friend down to UCF, and I immediately felt UCF was the place for me and went there instead.

My sister goes to UF and I'm interested in going there too.  I think it is beautiful. as for it being ghetto there will be bad parts of campus whichever you choose.  Go to UF it's a good school. Also UCF is the 3rd biggest school in the country or something so if you have any hope of time with your teachers it will be extremely competitive.  I really, really like UF. That's my vote, but you will have to make up your mind yourself. Good luck! :)

The University of Central Florida (UCF) is most definitely NOT located in the ghetto. I would know, I'm a student there. It is in a really nice area! UCF is amazing and the campus is beautiful; you are handed so many great opportunities no matter what your major is. Not to mention, it is right by Disney, Universal, etc. so there is always something to do. Go Knights!

UF is definitely the better medical school. also UF is the more traditional college atmoshere-its a college town where UCF is a college in a city. so i think UF would be better, but it just depends on what you are in to.

What ig both schools were located in the ghetto?  What has that to do with the quality of the education?  You should take the time to visit both schools and then decide. Race or ethnic background should have absolutely nothing to do with your decision.

they're both in the ghetto (SUPER ghetto)  and ALL florida colleges are subpar in education when compared to other colleges

as far as Medical Programs..... if you "know" UF is the one to go to... you haven't researched properly.
