Lv 5

If wrath is a sin why is it okay for God to do it?

7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

8 Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities.

Sounds pretty wrathful to me. Can God 'sin'?

Update:

Book of Jude

Update 2:

Apparently, anger turns to sin when selfishly motivated. Isn't killing people because you don't agree with their way of life selfish?

No where in Scripture does it say that wrath is a sin.

In fact, Scripture acknowledges that we get angry.

Eph 4:26 "Be angry, and do not sin": do not let the sun go down on your wrath...

If there were any sin in wrath, it would be anger that is uncontrolled, misguided, self seeking, and unrighteous.

God reserves His wrath for the wicked.

    No, God can not sin.

    Isaiah Chapter 40

13 Who has understood the mind of the LORD, or instructed him as his counselor? 14 Whom did the LORD consult to enlighten him, and who taught him the right way? Who was it that taught him knowledge or showed him the path of understanding? 15 Surely the nations are like a drop in a bucket; they are regarded as dust on the scales; he weighs the islands as though they were fine dust. 16 Lebanon is not sufficient for altar fires, nor its animals enough for burnt offerings. 17 Before him all the nations are as nothing; they are regarded by him as worthless and less than nothing. 18 To whom, then, will you compare God? What image will you compare him to?

    ========================================================================

Firstly, no human being is advanced enough to be able to understand the mind of God.

Secondly, we cannot compare God to man. There is a BIG DIFFERENCE.

Thirdly, anyone who has read the entire Bible and has experienced the goodness of God, knows that God is good and whatever he does has a purpose for the good of mankind.

Wrath is part of God's righteous judgement. Are you saying that man should be allowed to thwart the purpose of God, and God should remain silent? Furthermore, man brings wrath on himself by his wrong actions. So God must not be held responsible. If God would not show his wrath, this world would be an impossible place to live in.

Perhaps wrath is used improperly when in the hands of men? Maybe it's only something a God can properly handle? Who knows. Use your brain and think of the possibilites rather than just trying to look smart all the time. I'm not impressed.

Also, I didn't know that Christianity had anything to do with the so-called "7 deadly sins"

Because all of Gods wrath has a purpose and reason to help mankind and make the world better. People often think that the same rules God gives us he has to abide by, but the fact is Human nature is different than Gods nature. if you read Genesis Humans were pretty much bad from the start. and the way we think is nothing like Gods mind set.... and another sin is to kill man... but God kills man all the time... he wiped out the whole world of people in the story of Noah and the ark.... but its different when God does it and when man does it. because God can always remake what he demolishes.

Ask the judge if HE sins, when it is written God is Light and in Him no darkness at all, read the Word.

was working as an Master Electrician, for an Electronic Factory, It was noon, the middle of the day.

I was walking down the middle of an aisle, when the firmament of the heavens, spun into a pillar

and split into a curtain and drew up, revealing Jesus Christ, seated, intently looking at me, as

six others approach HIM, and gathered behind HIM, dressed in "WHITE GOWNS", the Glory of God

all around them, they smiled, and the heavens closed as they had opened."

Excuse me, as I address the so-called atheist, who are really antichrists.

No, God is not dependent on your imagination, He lives forever long ago, and forever more...

The heavens opened at noon at my workplace and I seen Jesus Christ, The Son Of The Living God.

True atheist, don't hang around what they believe NOT to exist, but antichrists do....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0iXKIf2XOfA See what Albert Einstein, and others really said,

    about God.

Excuse me, as I address the antichrists, whose church is described in Revelation chapter 13...

And who is an antichrist? 1st John ch.2:22" Who is a liar but he that denys that Jesus is The Christ?

He is antichrist, that denys The Father and The Son."

An Antichrist = 1st John 4:3 "And every spirit that confesses not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh IS NOT OF GOD: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and EVEN NOW ALREADY IS IT IN THE WORLD."

He is a God of mercy but one of justice who will not be mocked or pushed around when he has to he fights for his children and what is right.

Yes he does punish the wicked and unjust.

Exacting just punishment on sinners isn't a sin, nor is a just killing.

So you are a sinner and hate your own creator I take it, I recommend you change you attitude.

Which would you choose: for God to follow our rules or for us to follow God's rules?
