What is going on with the presidential candidates?

I'm not sure what the fascination conservatives have with Herman Cain is all about. I suspect that conservatives don't really care for any of their candidates for the Republican nomination, so they back Cain because they actually believe the conservative spin that the only reason Obama won in 2008 was because he got 95% of the black vote. I suspect they hope to take that advantage away by running their own black candidate. Conservatives tend to think black people are racist instead of just voting for their economic interests.

Have you paid any attention to the Debates or Cain's speeches. Aside from his race which probably is a positive, he is the perfect Tea Party candidate. Unfortunately, last nights debate proved he is not capable of running a Country. He kept throwing numerous questions back to Newt Gingrich to answer first. It was pretty obvious his knowledge of much of what he advocates is quite limited, e.g. he is very much in favor or limiting Social Security by allowing workers to pay into private plans, but does not know what a "defined benefit plan" is. He also contradicted himself on a number of occasion.

BTW, you do sound quite prejudiced. The GOP is going with Cain because he is the Candidate who is currently peaking the most interest among conservatives.
