we store apples in the garage mice got into them their all bad now right?

we bought apples from an apple farm and were told to store them somewhere cold like a garage. the lady said nothing would mess with them in the garage ie.. mice rodents small animals. after a couple of days we checked on them and there is droppings all over and little bite marks out of many on the top. throw all to the animals in the woods now? there isnt anything that safely cleans them is there?

Mice are vermin and carry a lot of germs and potentially diseases. Unless you are cooking the apples, I would throw them away - not in to the woods - that will only attract more mice and will start to attract flies.

You may want to get some rat/mice bait and go to work to get rid of them.

Wash them in water and cut out the bites; they will be fine. In the future, store them in a closed container.

Unfortunately, they are ruined, what with their feces and urine all over them. Toss them out on the next garbage day pickup.
