How many male characters of Harry Potter do you think have feminist tendencies?

There is Arthur Weasley. Some people might argue that since Molly is a house wife then he has no feminist tendencies but if you read the book you can see that he lets her control him. For example, admonishing him for not having a well paid job.

There is Lucius Malfoy who lets his wife control him. He wanted to send Draco to another school but he listened to his wife's emotions.

There is Remus Lupin who put up with Tonks's bratty attitude and was just weak in the end. He is homeless and lacks a proper job. What kind of man is he?

Do you think it is because the author is female?

Update:

@Jessica: She is ashamed of her feminism. She subtly puts it in her male characters.

Update 2:

Horrible answers.

Most feminists don't want uxorious husbands. In case you didn't realize, an equal partnership is ideal. A relationship that is a power struggle is bound to have problems.

I read one Potter book many years ago, but I don't see what these characters have to do with feminism.

I can tell you that the author was forced to use her initials because, like S. E. Hinton, there was a fear by the publisher that boys wouldn't buy books written by a woman. That's the world we live in, folks.

Edit: You give no examples of subtle feminism. Feminists don't want men to be homeless or women to be housewives who nag over money instead of providing for the family.

    Try again.

Edit: Fuentes, work on your reading comprehension. The publishers forced those women to change their names; it wasn't that the women cared so deeply.

As for poweranni, she was talking about grocery shopping and it was meant as a joke. Her husband does the grocery shopping because she doesn't want to do it. Big whoop. Plenty of couples assign tasks for such reasons. I hate the sound of the vacuum so my bf does that but in exchange I do all of the mopping.

This sort of thing is normal. You are looking for things to get in a tizzy about.
