how much should I ask for?
How much should I ask for my old Lovatt & Ricketts Black Leather GP Saddle, wide 17". In good condition, not sure of age as it came with my horse. I looked on ebay and they seem to be anywhere between £65 - 300, so a bit unsure what to ask for.
new it would have cost about £700

The thing with eBay is that sellers put items for a low price to start a bidding war.
Get the saddler to evaluate it - they can put a price on it.
Or take it to a tack shop near you that sells second hand saddles (make sure you can get the money) and have them get it looked at by the saddler they use, check what they think the price is and then let them sell it for you - it's a lot easier.
In my opinion, if it sells for new at £700 it should be put up for sale between £300 and £500, depending on the overall condition.
