What do you love the most about your country?

I live in Australia, but I'd have to say one of my favourite things about my country is freedom, especially of belief. I'm an atheist. I can believe whatever I want here and not be legally persecuted for it, although I know I get some nasty stares from the family sometimes.

I'm posting this in R&S because I think we people we need to focus more on the stuff we all have in common, and maybe try not to be at each others' throats so much.

So what country do you live in, and what religion are you, if any? Is it easy being what you are in your country? Do you get persecuted for your faith or nonbelief where you live? If you could live anywhere else, where would you go, and why?

I live in the U.S. and let me tell ya, there are things that are the same no matter where you go and there are things that are different with each state/county/location. The problems come when people try to legislate everything being the same when it is better to have differences. Schools used to be able to teach about God or alternative theories to evolution, but now Atheism has become the state mandated religion.

The U.S. is doomed. I really like where I live at the moment, but the big picture is that the Bilderbergers are trying to lower the population of the Earth to a mere 500 million globally. To do this, they are adding fluoride into the water to promote the increase of preventable disease. They are sponsoring the attacks on Christianity everywhere. They have control of our courts and really the entire federal government and most state government.

They are the reason that the traitors in office seem to be deliberately steering the country to an economic collapse. Their short term goal is to divide the U.S. and they have infiltrated churches as well in order to tear us apart from every angle. A divided U.S. will easily fall. The people, divided from God, will fall for anything.

I must be up too late. I seem to be rambling and have lost my point.

Canada, that we are pretty secular about most public issues, and the health care (Costing 10% of GDP, V/ The 17% the US uses to NOT cover everyone there), the CBC and hockey.

I don't believe that I have ever had any problems being an atheist here.

Frankly, I don't really want to live in any other country. But, I would be interested in trying out other parts of Canada. We're honkin' big, doccha know ? :-)

I'm a Canadian, and the thing i love most about being a Canadian is the general response to Canadians that is exhibited across the world. i like to think we've got a pretty decent reputation as being polite, considerate, and capable people. I'm a theist, without any religious affiliations. It is quite easy to have my faith. there are people who believe they are better than me because they are affiliated with a specific faith, but i think that's more related to my social group than my nation. speaking based on statistics i have greater than average interactions with christians. i could live anywhere else, and i wouldn't. i love it here.

I live in America, and I love the freedom here. But I'm half Mexican, half Columbian. And I'm proud to be Latina.

    I'd have to say freedom.

I've been to Australia four times and I have to say I enjoyed all the freedoms I have here in the US.
